A full day of activities dedicated to nature protection and promotion of Albania’s Protected Areas at EU Winter Fair organized in Berat where EU Member States’ embassies, EU funded projects in Albania and civil society organisations joined the celebrations.
Albanian Protected Areas were part of this event supported by NaturAl project. The staff of Regional Agency of Protected Areas (RAPA) from Berat joined the tent of NaturAl project, together with local NGOs to promote the values and rich biodiversity of Berat area, crafts and traditional food from the protected area and inform visitors about the importance of the nature protection.
Numerous visitors at the stand learned about local and artisan products of the area while kids participated in the activities organized by the project.
Sara and Klea, part of RAPA Berat Junior Ranger program shared their experience at the session “Connecting People with Nature” organized at the main stand of the EU Winter Fair, together with other local government and NGO representatives. RAPA Berat rangers invited and informed the public about the activities organized throughout the year at the Tomori park and the work done by the project supporting the National Agency of Protected Areas towards Natura 2000 Network.
